What Happened

  1. I signed up for a free trial of Cal AI.
  2. Before the trial ended, I upgraded to the Family Plan ($59.99/year).
  3. Apple then also charged me for the Unlimited Plan ($19.99) — a duplicate, unintended subscription.
  4. The app never recognized my Family Plan. It showed as canceled. I couldn't add family members.
  5. I contacted support repeatedly — through the in-app form, email, and forwarding threads. Over 5 weeks and 32 messages across multiple threads, I received nearly identical copy-paste responses that never resolved anything.
  6. Support repeatedly told me to contact Apple for a refund — but Apple declined the refund request.
